Can’t work out how to add a comment on Women on my Theology Bookshelf. But I just want to say thank you and wow! I have just read the list slowly and prayerfully as a litany of thanks and hopefulness.
Andrew
PS I would add Sarah Whittle (St Andrews) in the Biblical Studies section.
Hi.
Really interested in getting a recording of the song you wrote to Psalm 131 My heart is not raised up too high – is this available anywhere? Can’;t find it on the web. Thanks. Phil Jones.
Hi Maggi, Steve Liberty from UEA days here, just wanted to reach out and say “Hi’ from across the years, from a very long time ago! Hope you are well, and all is good. From what I can see of your online presence, you are doing great! Hope you have a really happy new year. God bless, Steve

Hi Maggi. I was at Stamford High School from 70-77… Penny Chown. We are trying to organise a 40th reunion this July and I said I would try and contact you
Hello Penny! Thanks for getting in touch, very nice to hear from you.
I also heard from Tacey Cronin about the reunion. I am in the USA so can’t make it unfortunately, but I hope it is a wonderful event. Thanks for thinking of me.
Best wishes,
Maggi

You might consider adding Zoe Bennett (e.g. Using the Bible in Practical Theology – which engages with Ruskin), Julie Gittoes (e.g. Anamnesis and the Eucharist), and in your final category Lavinia Byrne’s anthology “The Hidden Tradition”
I hate to self-publicise, but my book The School of Compassion is the only serious work on the theology of animals in the Catholic tradition. Deborah M Jones, published by Gracewing.UK.
Hi Maggi – you came to us in NZ to lead a memorable conference! I have lost my music copy of your version of O God our Help, and wonder if you could email it to me via pdf. The boys love it, and I was fishing for the music the other day, and it had gone!! Wishing you every blessing, John (King’s School, Auckland)
May I ask a quick question please? Do you know anyone who has a particular research interest in early women pastors in UK ie c1900? There is, I know, and have ordered it on eBay, the book Daughters of Dissent, but not sure that those authors are still active or contactable.
My particular interest has arisen due to my local history hobby, researching the story of a 19thC family connected with our village, and indeed the house which later became a small Christian charity base and where I worked for many years. The research trail led me to a Crosby boys school, and one surprisingly female graduate of it, Clarice Smith, who became, or almost became, depending how you define it, the first Congregational woman pastor, several years before Constance Coltman.
I’d love to understand more of her story, and feel sure there must be those who have researched her life in more detail. Equally, I am glad to share what I have already found with anyone interest.
